One can expect various reports and information from practical experience, for example “live printing”. Prints on synthetic papers of Schneidersöhne will be done as well as printing one forme of plastic cards.

EWPA visit in Rodi pressure in Broek op Langedijk
CORTINA user Rodi encounters EWPA
On 4th of October 2007 the EWPA with the board of directors was on a visit in the newspaper printer Rodi. For long time a quality seal initiated by the EWPA has been in development and is presently in the stage of the marketing. Herewith it concerns the IT-WLO sign, that prices the qualified printer as an emissions-reduced operator. This sign is promoted through the BG. The acquisition of the Logo includes the unique certification of the machine; the air-inspections-and-MAK-inspections usual, regular otherwise fall. Through this certification, the BG confirms the environmentally friendly production method so as well as the exemplary health safety of the colleagues. Next to this economic advantage, all products with the well known advantages of the waterless offsetprinting can be produced.
The printhouse Rodi became as the first CORTINA-member from the EWPA the offer as KBA CORTINA user the leadership of the BG of supported ER-WLO certificate. The first reaction of the director of Mr. D. Ranzijn and its leading colleagues was thoroughly positive, the EWPA informs about the further development.
To the intensification of the activities in Benelux, a cooperation with the Dutch printing office association KVGO is striven for and the contacts to construct to the paper industry and color industry further from.
Medium-termed further CORTINA users are sought for the purpose of an experience exchange on wide plain.

This conference, offering a high-ranking program with speakers from all over the world, took place at Vienna from 13-15 November 2007.
The members of Radtech attend to the further development of UV/EB technology. The EWPA and Radtech entered a noncontributory two-way membership some years ago. Two EWPA members ( IST and Adphos-Eltosch) participated in this conference as exhibitors.
